Hangman with a darkly comic scoreboard. You begin with a small stable of cats, every wrong letter costs one of them, and each solved word returns a couple. That last rule is what makes it a run rather than a single round, since good guessing rebuilds the stock that bad guessing spent.
How to play
- Guess letters to reveal the hidden word.
- Every wrong guess costs one of your cats.
- Solving a puzzle returns two cats to the pool.
- The game is over when the cats run out.
Tips
- Spend the opening guesses on vowels and the commonest consonants. Cats only come back when a word falls, so the fastest route to a solve is also the cheapest one.
- Once the pattern is nearly readable, choose letters the word must contain rather than ones you would like it to. A hunch costs a cat at exactly the point you can least afford it.
