About Card Match
A memory pairs game aimed squarely at small children. Cards sit face down, you turn two at a time and keep the ones that match, and there is a choice of animals, toys or objects as the picture set. The sound effects are doing a great deal of the entertaining.
How to play
- Choose one of the three picture themes before starting.
- Reveal two cards at a time to look for a matching pair.
- Matched pairs stay face up; anything else turns back over.
- The board is done once every pair has been found.
Tips
- Turn cards in a fixed order rather than at random. Sweeping across the rows builds a mental map far faster than jumping about does.
- With a young child, name each picture out loud as it turns over. That converts a memory task into a naming task, which is much easier at that age.
