About Match 2D
A pair-matching board with cartoon characters laid out flat rather than stacked. Find two of the same and they pop, clear them all and a fresh arrangement follows. The publisher's claim that anyone can play it is accurate, and is also the whole of the design brief.
How to play
- Characters are laid out across the ground at the start of each level.
- Find two identical characters and match them to remove the pair.
- Clearing every character completes the level.
- A new arrangement follows each clear.
Tips
- Scan for the rarest design first. The characters with only one pair on the board are the ones you would otherwise spend the end of the level hunting for.
- Work one region at a time instead of the whole board. Flat layouts reward systematic searching much more than they reward a good eye.
