About Esther the Penguin - Return to Antartica
A physics puzzle in which you remove the scenery rather than move the character. Esther has to end up on the dock, the wooden props holding the scene together are what you take away, and the water is fatal because the penguin never learned to swim. Sharks supply a second reason not to miss.
How to play
- Each screen suspends Esther above the water on an arrangement of wooden objects.
- The publisher states that tapping those wooden objects is what makes them give way.
- Drop her onto the dock so that her friend can bring her aboard the boat.
- Landing in the water fails the screen, and there are sharks waiting in it.
Tips
- Work out where she will end up before you remove anything. The first removal decides the whole fall and there is no correcting it afterwards.
- Take away supports on the side you want her to fall towards. Anything removed from directly beneath her tends to drop her straight down, which is rarely where the dock is.
