About Takeover

A real-time strategy game built on squads rather than individual units. Three nations fight over a continent falling to necromancers, each with five squad types, three kinds of stronghold and its own spells. You build mines and farms for income and obelisks for mana, then go and take their buildings.

How to play

• Choose one of three nations, each with eight levels of its own campaign.
• Command squads rather than single units, with five squad types to draw on.
• Build gold mines and farms to fund more squads, and obelisks to generate mana.
• Three spells plus one Grand Spell are available to each nation.
• Defend your strongholds and seize the enemy's buildings to win.

Tips

• Economy first is usually right here, because squads cost gold and gold comes out of buildings you have to take and then hold.
• Edicts are permanent where a squad is not. An upgrade improving every future squad outlasts the one you could have bought with the same money.
