About Cross the Bridge

Less a strategy game than a timed assembly puzzle. A car needs a continuous road, there is a gap in it, and you have until the clock runs out to close that gap. The publisher is upfront that it wants quick hands and a bit of reasoning at the same time, which is a fair description of the pressure.

How to play

• Each level presents a broken path that a car has to drive across.
• Complete the route before the countdown expires.
• Both speed and working out the layout are treated as part of the challenge.

Tips

• Read the whole route before committing to anything. A timer punishes a wrong first piece far more than it punishes a slow start.
• When a level resists, look at where the car has to end up rather than where it begins. Path puzzles are almost always easier read backwards.
