Reversi, and the publisher is right about the shape of it: the rules take a minute and the game takes considerably longer. Double-sided stones mean a position can swing hard on a single move, which is why reading ahead matters more here than it does almost anywhere else on a grid this small.

How to play

• Play Reversi against an opponent using the standard double-sided stones.
• The publisher assumes you know the rules and does not restate them.
• A multiplayer mode lets you play against friends rather than the computer.
• Thinking several moves ahead is explicitly what the game is asking of you.

Tips

• Judge a move by what it leaves you rather than by what it takes. A position that looks commanding in the middle of a game can invert late.
• If you are learning, stay on the computer until you can predict its replies. Human opponents punish rule-level mistakes immediately and without explanation.
