About Dark World

A platformer with two attacks rather than one: a sword you swing and a sword you throw. Thirty levels, three enemy types each with its own attack, and a design note from the publisher worth taking seriously, which is that there is usually an easier route than the obvious one and the items revealing it are hidden on the platforms.

How to play

• Work through thirty levels to escape the dark world.
• Jumping is on the W key or the on-screen jump button.
• The sword swing sits on the spacebar and the sword throw on the C key, with matching buttons on touch screens.
• Three enemy types appear, each with its own form of attack.
• Useful items are hidden across the platforms, and the publisher says an easier route to the exit always exists.

Tips

• Throw the sword at anything whose attack you have not seen yet. Learning an enemy from a distance costs nothing; learning it in melee costs a life.
• Search the platforms before running for the exit. The publisher states outright that the easier route exists, which makes ignoring it a choice rather than an oversight.
