About Hockey Hero

A single ice hockey scenario repeated three times, once per period, against three opponents. Get past the defenders, reach the goal line, time the shot. It belongs to a family of medal-chasing sports games and, like the rest of them, it is over in a few minutes.

How to play

• Choose a hero, then face three opponents in an ice hockey event.
• Skate past the attacking players to get near the goal line.
• Time your shot once you are in front of the goal.
• Scoring in all three periods is what a gold medal takes.

Tips

• Getting to the goal cleanly matters more than the shot itself. Most periods are lost before a shooting position is ever reached.
• Gold needs three from three, so treat the first period as the one that decides the run rather than as a warm-up.
