About Collect the Gift
A Christmas-themed physics puzzle in the cut-the-rope tradition. Each screen holds a gift and a set of contraptions, and the job is working out the order in which to set them off so the gift ends up where Santa needs it. Seasonal skin, conventional and competent underneath.
How to play
- Get the gift to its destination on each screen.
- Ropes can be cut to release whatever they are holding.
- Slingshots launch objects, and in-game buttons set parts of the mechanism running.
- Which order you trigger things in is what the puzzle actually turns on.
Tips
- Let a screen sit and do nothing for a few seconds before you interfere. Half of these puzzles are about when to cut, not about cutting somewhere else.
- When a solution nearly works, change your timing rather than your plan. Physics puzzles like this usually have one correct sequence and a narrow window inside it.
